Donoghue and O’Sullivan will destroy him. Very like the 2013 All-Ireland semi-final, really.

So the three headed monster, Fianna FĂĄil, the Catholic Church and the GAA, that held this country back for 7 decades are back together again:eek:

Progress = allowing 2 men to get married?

FYP

For fuck sake. God fucking help us.

For fuck sake Taz will you change the title to this thread

Gene Kerrigan again with a tour de force on Enda Kenny. Great points about the wonderful work of the independent TDs, especially Wexford’s Mick Wallace:

Some great Irish political figures at the opening of the M11 today. Howlin, Harris, Donohoe and Kehoe.

Pity there wasn’t an out of control Volvo BM there to roadkill the cunts

A new party called the Social Democrats has been launched by three prominent Independent TDs: Catherine Murphy from Kildare North, Wicklow’s Stephen Donnelly and Róisín Shortall who represents Dublin North West.

Making their announcement at the Civic Offices in Wood Quay, Dublin on Wednesday morning, the trio said their key policy areas were “strong economy, open government and social vision”.

They listed their values as: progress; equality; democracy and sustainability.

Independent Senator Katherine Zappone, who was previously in talks with the TDs, announced last month she would contest the general election an Independent candidate in Dublin South West.

I’d have good enough time for each of these three and they are all the better without Zappone, who came across as a bit of a pain in the arse during the gay marriage referendum.
I don’t know any of them really well but Donnelly always seems to make some sense any time I hear them. Shortall was dead right that time when she was left with no option but to resign working under James Reilly who was a terrible minister for health leafing his own nest. Murphy did sterling work standing up to O’Brien and his lackies, putting our national broadcaster and newspapers to shame.
Hopefully they make a go of it.
Somebody is going to get a soft enough 3rd seat in Offaly but unfortunately it’ll probably be either a terrible Sinn Fein or Fianna Fail candidate or a nice but not especially inspired Lucinda man…

At least those 3 know what they are talking about unlike poor Lucinda’s man Terence Flanagan. These 3 have been among the best performers in the Dail especially Murphy. Hopefully they can attract more like minded folk to their ranks.

Very little respect within labour for shortall in comparison to the other leavers AFAIK. Seen as a serious me-feiner.

They are all me-feiners. The only reason why Shortall is not liked is because she didn’t play ball and exposed that useless cunt James Reilly for what he was and showed up Gilmore as being weak by not standing up to FG for what Reilly was up to.

I was standing behind Roisin Shortall in the queue for fish in Nickys Plaice one day and she took a fucking age to choose her fish. I was seething and I resolved that I would never ever support her in any shape, way or form.

A bad sign when they can’t agree who is leader - me fein from the start. They are all good performers but as ever the devil is in the detail - just wanting a 'better Ireland" doesn’t give much clue as to how they’d achieve it.

Shortall is a big anti-alcohol campaigner.

She has my vote. Bring in prohibition.
