Ireland politics (Part 2)

The foster home with multiple allegations of sexual abuse against it? And which was found to have (at minimum) neglected Grace?

There were allegations based on what the commission believed were misheard/misunderstood conversations.
The long and the short of it was the girl went to the bad when she was taken out of the home. I’d imagine fostering a child with a mental disability isn’t easy (the report mentions the foster mother dealing with the child’s incontinence for example).

You think leaving her in a home where there’d been allegations of sexual abuse would have been appropriate at the time? Bizarre take Fagan.

There was quite a positive update on her on the news at lunchtime and that was heartening.

Allegations are not evidence.

Just to be clear. A child is in foster care. Allegations of sexual abuse are made. You’re saying it’s credible to leave the child in situ.

Get up the yard Fagan ffs.

The commission found that the allegations were not credible.

You obviously have to take the child out in the meantime.

That’s fair enough.
