He’s got a lovely left foot and the deliveries are excellent but we’re carrying him at the moment. Doesn’t seem to be able to play the role we want him to, certainly not better than the others.

First time in a long time I’m happy with how ireland performed. I mean it’d be nice if they tried to play a bit more football, but there’s three or four of them lads who are just incapable of keeping the ball so there’s not much we can do realistically. They worked their bollox off to be fair to them, it was a pity Egan had to go off, it cost us a sub that we could have done with at the end.
On to the playoffs, we’ll give it a rattle. I think contrary to George’s comments tonight we’ve a 50/50 chance of getting a home draw, that’d be great. The team will have a real buzz behind them again after tonight
