James McCarthy is superb.
Carling is a fine drink,
ill but 4 of them tomrrow night and slug away with the indo and the football on in the background, its a little tradition of mine, etc…
I thought Coleman was really poor last night, great run for the goal aside. There was no standout performance, our midfield was very very static in the first half and we rode our luck. Georgia passed around us but didn’t have the quality to break us down once we copped onto them.
Tbh I thought Ward was the best player on the pitch, running the ball out of play with no one near him aside. Which was hilarious to be fair.
Coleman never looks defensively solid imo.
Ward has really kicked on in the last 6 months…arguably Coleman has regressed as well with injuries from the heights of two years ago.
Ward was wrongly critcised during the euros. He’s a solid tournament. McCarthy was decent.
McCarthy was v good considering he’s played v little and is only back from surgery.
Ward looked v uncomfortable previously but from what I’ve seen from him with Burnley and ourselves last night he’s really improving his all round game…his touch, positioning etc have come on a lot.
Was a big positive last night on the left hand side…along with getting the 3 points playing badly of course.
Was it not widely acknowledged that Ward had a good tournament?
