Its a bit of a no brainer.

Now, saying that, I thought the same might happen with the Basketball and sometimes these things aren’t as simple as doing that. You’d wish they were.

The players shouldn’t be put in a position where they have to choose between morals and turning up for their country.

What are other Irish teams or players doing in other sports? Have any other countries taken a stand? Are israeli athletes competing in world championships or Olympics in other sports?

I think this is the best compromise. All this is about is sending a message that the country in general disagrees with what Israel are doing and by moving it to a neutral venue we’ve done that.
Work with other countries to try and get them banned from international sport like South Africa and russia is the only thing that will have a proper impact though.
