Playing better. I still fancy us for a point.
The Oirish are so lethargic with the ball, when the defenders get the ball at the back there is absolutely no urgency with them.
Poor half obviously but they havenât been great either and weâre capable of scoring.
OâShea and Coleman have done alright in the back 4. Brady has had problems on and off the ball and Wilson has been worse.
McCarthy completely anonymous in midfield. A joke. Whelan has put in a decent shift in fairness and has used the ball well a few times.
Walters has been excellent, won a few frees and has picked up a good few loose balls despite getting some dreadful service. McGeady too quiet early on but improved since shifting flank and looks lively now. Hoolahan has been very mixed. A few promising touches but his passing has been poor (other than one to Coleman) and his crossing worse. Couple of heavy first touches too which are costly.
Keane just hasnât been in it at all.
Problem is Hoolahan being played out of position according to Dunphy!
christ dunphy is some clown
Donât think Colemanâs effort has been bad. He hasnât been great but probably our best player
No montage of all the times Hoolahan gave the ball away
Been phoning it in for years. So has Giles. Same thing year after year. Sacred cows beyond criticism while others like Whelan can do no right ever.
One of the trademarks of OâNeill teams was the high intensity and tempo they played with. There is no urgency to them when they get the ball back, they look to slow the play down and by doing so allow teams to get their shape back.
OâPoppy is a busted flush.
Agreed. Odd to have him singled out for lack of effort.

Agree with most of this but cant see why you reckon whelan has been decent. Both he an mccarty have been absent.
Whats all this mate?
Coleman has been abysmal in recent matches but his efforts has been excellent tonight. Who claimed it wasnât?
I may have overstated that. Heâs been markedly better than McCarthy. Had a few reasonable touches and has at least been a small bit involved, unlike his partner.
Dunphy
I realise around 10 different posters have already said this, but still felt the need to point out how awful McCarthy has been. Offers absolutely nothing, a passenger in the middle of the pitch.
Dunphy blaming McCarthy and Coleman for lack of effort. Hoolahan is uttlerly septic because McCarthy and Whelan not working hard enough for him to do his thing
Canât remember. Dunphy I think, but the others agreed.
The Rugby team is West Brit
The Soccer team is Oirish
The Cricket team is West Brit
Is there any Irish team that you actually believe is Irish?
Is McCarthy any good for Everton?
