I’m very surprised to read this. I’ve met John Bruton’s daughter at parties through mutual friends and she’s a lovely girl. Great craic, really sound, friendly, really liberal. She doesn’t like my politics but it turns out she’s been exposed to much worse. She’s the researcher and co-writer for the da’s speeches (possibly a made-up job at the EU taxpayer’s expense) so I was very surprised to find out that the one he has researching all his nasty pro-unionist history is a very nice person.
