I’d love to see O’Neill be brave, in what is essentially a friendly after all, and try to counteract our lack of attacking threat with a 4-3-3 with Walters, McClean and AN other in the front 3. Push Wales onto the back foot from the off and let the lads press and kick their defenders all night. They are an average enough side after all.
The safe move, which is what O’Neill will do, is a 4-5-1 with probably two holding midfielders, concede possession entirely and hoofball to Walters or McClean with absolutely no one up in support and hope we can steal a goal by sheer dumb luck.
