Irish Soccer Players Abroad

Thought Duffy was older than that. I’d imagine he’d be one of their best players instantly

he probably needs a few weeks with Crawley Town to really prove his worth
his time with Alloa may have sufficed tho for the individuals involved in the selection of this squad

Is tonight’s game on tv?

Channel 121 if you have Sky

Splendid. Thanks.

Eir don’t have sky sport mix.
Will be relying on nuanced updates here

Didn’t know Richard Keogh still existed.

Anyone got a link for the game?

Keogh is some donkey. As is often the way in Ireland friendlies we’ve kept the ball alright so far before we’ll revert to type when it matters. Sitter missed by Milik there

Randolph;
Keogh, Egan, Long;
Christie, Williams, Hendrick, O’Dowda, Stevens;
Robinson, O’Brien.

The U21s just lost 6-0 at home to Germany in the qualification decider.

Reece Grego-Cox started (cc @mickee321).

This must be the longest we have ever kept the ball

I was thinking that. This Williams chap kicks it backwards and sideways an awful lot but he’s looking for it a lot at least

Smashing goal. Great play by Christie beforehand and well made by O’Dowda.

O Dowda has been very good. Very mobile and gets around the place. Not afraid to put in a challenge either.

Is Egan wearing number 10 here?

Been good ok . Poland are really awful here .

I think the key tonight has been absence of Stephen Ward. You just can’t trust him. We conceded 9 goals in last 2 games with him there.

O Dowda has started two games in the championship this season. A lovely player, way more suited to a continental style than the kick and rush of the championship
