Irish soccerball nil - That boy Jinky will save us (Part 2)

Being the main man at a club like Celtic can only be good for Idah, heā€™ll be loved there if he gets scoring. Hereā€™s hoping he can kick on.

As an away Irish association soccer fan as recently as last year this response from the FAI sickens me.

FAI pointing the finger of blame at their own supporters for problems getting into match v Netherlands last November.

Cites fans trying to get in 'without valid ticket' and 'alcohol/substance' abuse.

Not too much about inept security and planning. pic.twitter.com/1JTsKmZGWo

Any chance this young fella ripping it up for Lyon can play left back?

Think heā€™s right-footed and almost 6ā€™6.

Havenā€™t seen enough of him to say for sure but he sounds like a classic centre-back.

Doesnā€™t seem to have played anywhere else for Lyon anyway.

Looks like weā€™ve four decent youngish centre backs all off a sudden.

Tbf, youā€™d need as much of every drug in Holland to sit through 90mins of watching them play.

Bring on the Brits

Hop off that snake Rice

How in the fuck are we in the same division as England? How are we still in B at all. Weā€™ve hardly won a game since the competition started

Itā€™s complicated mate

Lads, this is perfect. A chance for revenge.

IT HAS TO BE SAM!!

How do we qualify for the World Cup through this and what bearing does it have on World Cup qualification?

England will piss through that group by putting out their B team.

44 years* of hurt at the hands of Paddy are finally coming to an end for the English.

*Four games from 1988 to 1991.

The Nations League has no bearing on World Cup qualification as it is not a FIFA tournament. It can influence qualification for the European Championships alright.

Iā€™d say Coach Lennon is looking forward to leading his team out on the Wembley turf

Spock did an outstanding job getting us to the same level as recent world cup semi finalists and euro 2020 runners up

Thank you.

Last time Austria and the Czech Republic qualified for the World Cup play offs on the basis of their Nations League position.

Both teams won groups in the B division of the 2020 Nations League.

I think the situation was that the two best teams in the 2020 Nations League who didnā€™t finish in the top two of their World Cup qualifying group got a spot in the play-offs.

They spanked us a couple of years back didnā€™t they
