i have been in the queens on a number of occasions(fucking hole) and i have socialised in nearly every one of the 26 counties…plenty of my friends would have the smoke or the odd line but just never seen the interest in it…never smoked either apart from a few cigars(but thats not smoking)…maybe if i started taking drugs i might ease up a little on the drinking and gambling…
have you not seen the amount of young fellas out of their minds on pills in the queens ?

would never go to ennis on a night out by choice dan…between the hillbillies from west clare, the young lads pilled of their heads and a fair amount of travelers that are around of a saturday night…lovely town during the day come night time its only a hole…
You can get addicted to hash quite easily. All you think about all day is getting home and having a joint. I’ve calmed down from my more youthful days of smoking a lump or bag till its gone. These days I can get by with a joint or two in the evenings. Funnily enough I gave up cigarettes but can’t shake the joints.
I see Ketamine mentioned above, now thats a powerful drug. I had to be pumped in Ibiza cos its so fucking toxic. There are people who take it and go raving!! God bless em. Blue madness.

Life is a gateway drug not cannabis, it’s your life experiences that dictate which drugs you want to take if at all.
Like smoking weed, though too often turns your brain to mush and sucks all ambition out of ya. Few joints after a heavy training session with a few mates and sky sports news on Saturdays is the business for me. Grapes are great for the munchies too.
Coke I fucking hate. I’ve taken it a few times. Last time ended up out til nearly eight. Hangover was shocking. I’m convinced people only do it to look cool. But what’s cool about snorting lines off a shitter I will never know. First time was fine, a rake of friends off my kitchen table but never again. The coke scene is a horrible arrogant fake one imo.
Pills somehow I never did. One of the few in West Clare that didn’t Id say. Hated the state my mates used to get in on them, jaws all over the place. Might try it somewhere like a beach in Thailand at a party or something.
Mushrooms would interest me but would have to be in a safe environment like someones sitting room not a public park.

Ive pretty much tried everything else bar H at regular enough intervals; a few years ago we stumbled on a load of ketamine. I was taking it as a sleeping aid in midweek at one stage. None of them left a lasting impression thankfully. The yolks in the country about 12/13 years ago bear absolutely no relation to the dirt going around for the last 8/9 years btw. Done Mushrooms once all I did was walk around the city all night, good laugh. Have taking LSD twice and both times had the best laugh ever. Never even heard of mesculin, thought it was a medical drug.
In short No cannabis is not a gateway drug, I found myself getting fond of it in the last 2 years simultaneous to me abandoning taking everything else really. For me the only fcuker is can I get off it?

What are you on at the moment then?
I would question the moral fibre of anyone that feels the need to take drugs to “get by”. Taking drugs shows a weakness of character, a flaw of sorts, and it is up to the drug addict themselves to eradicate this flaw.
