He was sacked because he used a position of influence as a sporting personality to express his personal beliefs. The material he posted came from him. It wasnāt from a priest or clergyman. He isnāt a priest or a clergyman.
He has no right to tell who is and isnāt going to hell.
He expressed his own beliefs as he is entitled to. He is not an indentured slave owned by another entity as youāre proclaiming.

The guy in question used various groups, in a hate filled way, to talk about his religious beliefs. I always thought the christian religion was one of love and forgiveness - but it seems this chap cant profess his love for his god without dragging in other groups of people in a negative manner.
Heās a public figure - under constant scrutiny - he can hold what beliefs he wants but the terms of his employment obviously dont allow him to express views that his employers consider hate filled towards other groupings. If he wants to express his full beliefs, then he should take up employment in a job that fully allows him to express himself.

A group of like minded people meeting to promote their own interests is very normal behaviour in all walks of life.
Youāve screamed me, me , me for about 20 posts now. You live in a society mate. Unfortunately that means co-existing with plenty of people you may not agree with. And they you - you dont have to like them but you sure as hell have to respect their right to live a peaceful life.
