Isnât well known rugby footballer Trevor Hogan one of those on the boat?
A few intesting developments in recent days.
Israel have intimated that they are considering a âpre-emptiveâ strike against Iran.
Meanwhile Sarkozy and Obama where overheard have a conversation when the little French man referred to Netanyahu as a liar:, âI cannot stand him. He is a liar.â
Obama responded: âYouâre fed up with him but I have to deal with him every day!â
Banter
Nathan? Ya? Who?
Iceland has recognised the State of Palestine within the 1967 borders
I see Netanyahu is getting far more aggressive in his stance against Iran. Iâd say the U.S. are the only thing holding him back from launching a few missiles.
âWeâve waited for diplomacy to work. Weâve waited for sanctions to work. None of us can afford to wait much longer. As Prime Minister of Israel, I will never let my people live under the shadow of annihilation,â
I read an article back in January from some US foreign affairs expert. He said the Israel - Iran war is provisionally pencilled in for April. Israel were preparing towards this target. Keep an eye out for the media barrage in the lead up to justify war. If you see it then its bomb shelter time. 2012, the end of the world as we know it.
What kind of military power do Iran have?
Would they have the latest and greatest technology or would they be using old equipment?
Theres is a ranking of firepower here:
http://www.globalfirepower.com/
Israel come in 10th , while Iran come in 12th so seems like it would be a decent match up.
Iran have made the the same mistake Saddam did and stopped accepting US Dollars for oil payments. Gaddafi wanted to do something similar. The military industrial complex in the US needs another war now that Iraq is finished. And Israel and especially that psychopath Netanyahu need a war against an imagined bogey man to give them renewed carte blanche to keep coloniising Palestinian land and murdering anybody who gets in their way. The âexistential threatâ line is running a bit thin with the rest of the world at the moment and it needs a war to make it credible again. Itâs all a perfect storm.
The Iranians would have reasonably good equipment but the Israelis stuff is state of the art. The Israelis are to the forefront of military tech these days.
Numbers wise the Iranians would crush the Israelis, but its unlikely to be that sort of a war
It would be interesting if somebody could provide statistics about Israel and Iranâs respective records of starting wars. It might give us a bit of a form guide as to who is more likely to attack who first.
I hope Iran crush the Zionist pigs.
What started the conflict between the 2 of them?
Israel are sour because Iran are supposedly developing Nuclear weapons (or at least the capability to develop them). They
want to put a halt to the nuclear program by blowing up a few things.
So they can build them themselves?
Iran are supposedly developing nuclear weapons in exactly the same way Iraq was developing weapons of mass destruction in 2003. The lack of any evidence whatsoever is neither here nor there. This war must happen.
Well, off the top of my head Israel have had a bash at the Leb, Syria and Egypt over the last few decades havenât they.
Arenât Israel already a nucular (itâs pronounced nucular) power?
Oh itâs on. Itâs on and poppin.
Further to my earlier question, which I can now very surprisingly reveal was rhetorical, I can inform posters that Iran strarted a war in 1739 and thatâs the only one theyâve started in the last thousand years. Hmmmm. A likely threat alright.
