Certainly not.
Using this sectarian cunt to support her argument shows her own inner feelings straight away. Wasn’t he in the Glennane Gang?
So if they shouldn’t match down the Falls Road where they’re not wanted, why should they march down the Garvaghy Road where they’re equally not wanted?
I read the first time the march went down Garvaghy road was 1986. It’s not a traditional route.
That’s not true, I’m sure Garvaghy Road has always been part of the route. What has changed is what it is claimed to commemorate, it used to be the Battle of the Boyne but now it’s the Battle of the Somme.
Ah. I stand corrected. It used be the return leg but became the outward leg in the mid-80s?
The route was changed away from Obins Street to Corcrain Road in 1986 but that was for going one way, it’s always been Garvaghy Road going the other way as far as I know.
Ah yes the old subconscious bias , the last bastion of fcukwit .none of us know what the subconscious is telling us , so it can account for anything and everything
We can read between the lines and see exactly what you’re at here. It’s a sad state of affairs really.
That’s a load of shite. Orange men and protestants use the road every day, to get to there church or anywhere else. No-one objects or tries to stop them. An orange march is a totally different kettle of fish.
There’s nothing written between the lines so again it’s whatever you want it to be . If you don’t think these events have set back any grown up chat about a United Ireland then i think you’re mad .
Do you think portadown orange men would agree to a ui if they were allowed to tramp up and down the garvaghy road?
No but they’re not the ones you’re trying to convince
I think that’s a poor take. Bow down to the fascists to show you’re a grown up. That Pat Leahy chap had a piece along those lines in the Irish Times. It’s basically entrapment - damned if you do & damned if you don’t.Would much prefer the reasoning in the Justine McCarthy article posted on this thread or elsewhere on TFK a day or two ago.
It has strengthened it massively
I looked up that article after reading your post. I’d say Leahy loves the smell of his own farts.
Of course you would , you’re that type of Celtic fan that’s going to be complicit in setting the club back 20 years so this is more of same .
Anybody who understands how the far right works internationally understands they try to stage “gotcha” events to try and stir up trouble and use biased, non-serious right wing media to do the rest in terms of moving public opinion towards hatred. But that won’t work here.
Loyalists and Unionists are trying to stir up trouble because they’re trying to make people forget their leader was recently convicted as a paedophile. They’re using this attempt to stir up trouble to try and invent new “leaders” who act as Farage type right wing culture war figures. Bryson and Lockhart primarily. They’re using the same one size fits all far right playbook that is used internationally. But too many people in the North are wise to them.
But they also have their eye on the fascist idiots and the Sindo type bootlickers down here and that’s probably where they’re having the most success with narrative.
Sindo type bootlickers like this fella.
Also the “staring into the abyss” line Loyalists/Unionists have been reciting is designed to try and make such a situation happen. They want “the abyss”.
Meanwhile the Garvaghy Road residents have been having a mini-Fleadh.
