It's Time To Call It- Thrones or Summer Bay?

There isn’t really one plot line as such; more a load of different inter-connected storylines with a persistent wider theme of individual and collective suffering in a time of war and power struggle between different Kings and Kingdoms.

so whats the general plot line?[/quote]

A group of warlocks and wizards are fighting it out for an Iron Throne

You forgot the Goblins and the talking mushrooms Puke.

How do you know it is called the Iron Throne?

That was the synopsis my housemate gave me about it when I asked him what the plot was and was it worth watching

You’re a self-loathing GoT enthusiast.

There was a write up on it from a British historian on it recently in one of the British papers… It’s fantasy but based on War of the roses and Tudor politics.

Never seen an episode of it, pal

Now that’s fantasy.

 FFS.

Puke was an avid fan of season 1 iirc.

Its standard for works of fantasy to be based heavily on historical events/eras. Lord Of The Rings and World War 1 for example.

I heard fairies were heavily involved in the winning of WWI alright.

I will admit that Game of Thrones is good for the Irish economy - it’s filmed in the heart of Ireland I believe - Tyrone I think? You can’t get any more Irish than that.

I’ve never watched it however and don’t have any plans to.

But kudos to all involved with it.

My mate is in it. Got a few words and about 8 seconds screen time in series two and they paid a rake of money for it. Worth supporting for that alone.

Good stuff. That’s the kind of quality foreign direct investment we should be encouraging.

I have to say it is saddening to see the board torn apart on an admittedly divisive issue a little over a week after we were all united in euphoria.

I will not stand for degrading comments being made about Away in a Home. Its not on.

If you don’t like the way this forum is run you know where the door is.

We need another “catastrophic” event to unite the board.

Totally unconnected but what age is the Reverand?
