Anti Irish sentiment has been going on since Elizabeth I … Because we are white it’s some how acceptable. What’s truly sad is that many, many Irish laugh it off and are happy to play the simple Irish idiot or play up to the stereotypes because we are great ‘craic’ — James is correct - If it was a person of colour / or Muslims etc. there would be serious repercussions… But the fact that so many Irish have been broken and are willing to accept this type of abuse like @flattythehurdler does, then the powers that be dont give two fucks either.

I can empathise with James and what he appears to be going through. I’m an Englishman living in Eire, persecuted for simply wearing a poppy to commemorate the sacrifice of the brave men who lay down their lives to defeat fascism in two World Wars. I even have the likes of @anon78624367 telling me to fuck off back to England.
