They left 98 behind them for a lot of different reasons some their own doing some out if their control. If Jamsie and Baker had stayed fit they probably would have gone very close in 99 too. They ran out of steam after that.
They were only a bunch of mullockers in fairness. Once the rest of the hurling world caught up with them fitness wise the jig was up.

I first heard it in a bar in London about Tipp in the 1970s , then I suppose it covered Ger loughnane and Clare in the 90s , Kk in the noughtes but they kept winning . It is now Lk in that territory .
