Christ it’s sad really that the only other national competition has gone to shite. I remember back in 1980 for both the first game and the replay of the final, there was over 35k in Cork. It was like a Munster final.

This has been the greatest league of all time

Limerick need cut this shit out and just hurl. Don’t worry bout opposition or the meeja. If they hurl, they’ll win.

Hurling alone has never gotten it done for this team. Persistent fouling and getting away with it has been the foundation of their success. Now that they are no longer getting away with it, their limitations are there for all to see. Limerick can consider themselves lucky that they got away with it for as long as they did.

You can’t win a couple of All Ireland’s on physicality alone, you need the skillset, to borrow a rugby football term

Limerick have both.

Exactly. Let their hurling do the talking and stop with the extras. Would they be fit to do it you wonder? Be a great All Ireland to win, one won cleanly without the dirt.

Who wants an All Ireland without dirt? - I hope they end a few lads this summer.

We’ll have to come up with the ‘dirt asterisk’

You can come up with as many as you want - we dont give a willy, we dont give a wank …

Since time immemorial hurling has always been akin to battle. Warriors. Blood, skin & hair shed. Bad cess to all you cotton wool pansies.

Very magnanimous of you Gary.

We should probably call a halt altogether.

You guys may have borrowed a bit more from Thugby.

1 All Ireland and 1 winter blitz. You’re hardly counting that 6 week blitz as an All Ireland are you  for fuck sake.

Galway often won All Irelands in less time with fewer matches. For consistency, I’m assuming all of those are discarded too?

Did you take the Monday off after the match against Waterford? I think that should settle it.

The All Ireland last year? Yes
