John Kiely - Same old Kiely, 🐐 always winning

Twas the mighty London team (who had knocked out Galway in the quarters) that Limerick had to bate in the semis in 1973.

Winning is all that counts … we were losers long enough - we need to make hay while the sun shines.

You’re so full of shit

We’ll bate it out of him

Precisely, and a very astute observation. Kilkenny never once apologised for their filth, why should Limerick do so?

We are the Detroit Pistons and Hego is our Dennis Rodman

We went into Ennis and walked all over them. Defectors.

As I’m sure you know Gerry Rea marked his brother that day

They were all the sons of Mackey

Absolutely, only even more dominant and violent, please the Gods.

In the name of Mackey, Hartigan and the holy McKenna. Amen.

You forgot Cregan. One of the greats of any era. An artist.

Genuinely in with a shout of the GOAT is cregan imho

A hurling artist

Thats a cheap shot at Kilkenny.

What’s your beef with Cody?

1989*

He was MOTM in 1980. I was only in short pants, and I still remember the feeling that he’d single handedly dragged Limerick to near parity with Galway who were a far better side (that Galway side ).

Cregan’s brother was the fitness coach for the 73 team. A little known fact.

An army man. They were supposedly significantly fitter than your average team of the time.

He trained the limerick footballers afterwards in the 80s
