Keith Duggan on the horsey set

Whatā€™s wrong is idiots trying to lay the blame here at peoples doors steps. Thereā€™s way more people in the pubs around Ireland doing farm More harm than race goers at an open air event imo.

He has a waxy jacket but itā€™s actually an ordinary jacket with loads of ear wax rubbed into it.

Are these individuals the biggest shower of wankers on earth or what?

Yes. Undoubtably.

Why?

Yeah, thatā€™s about right.

Galway was cancelled yesterday was it not?

Not open to the public. May go ahead behind closed doors if possible.

When is this from @farmerinthecity ? Iā€™ve been told Galway wonā€™t be on anyway. Not as we know it anyway.

Even if it goes on behind closed doors it is a shocker, considering all that has gone on with the horsey crowd so far.

How so? That would be the end of July. Racing is likely to be back in the middle of may in Ireland.

There are very few positives from this lockdown. The improvement to the environment is the obvious one. If it could mark the death knell of this shameful activity, that would be a bonus.

Because the Galway Races are synonymous with a piss up. Couldnā€™t they just cancel it for one year like every other sporting event is doing? Particularly after the absolute disgrace that was Cheltenham?

Also behind closed doors in May? Me bollix - what about all the preparation that has to go into having a race? What about all the social distancing there?

This crowd really think they are a law onto themselves. Their cough needs to be softened pretty lively.

Like it would just be racing behind closed doors? Iā€™m not sure what you are saying exactly but itā€™s harsh to stop racing going ahead at the race track in Galway but allowing it going on anywhere else. Iā€™d imagine itā€™ll be behind closed doors for the year. Iā€™ve no real strong opinion either way but when Jp and those types want something they usually get it.

Thatā€™s like the Brits years ago saying it would be harsh to stop genocide in Ireland because it has been going on in India.

All racing should be stopped, like pretty much everything else has had to be. And preferably forever.

Iā€™d be surprised if most sports arenā€™t back behind closed doors very soon.

The vast majority of major sporting events have been cancelled.

The horsey crowd were running races behind closed doors right up to when these latest most stringent restrictions came into play. They were the only ā€˜sportā€™ that was doing it.

The guineas and the derby have been cancelled as well. Golf is resuming in the middle of June. The Germans clubs are going back training next week in the soccer.
