Keith Floyd RIP

Somehow this piece of news was overlooked between Sutherland and Swayzie.

A real legend

Check the celeb deaths thread…

Cracking scarf from Keith there.

Eh… no.

I was only informed of this new this afternoon. A truly great man. RIP.

Only two people paying their respects. I don’t get people on this forum.

I suppose Kev doesn’t give a fuck.

An absolute legend of a man. Himslef and Clive the camera man had some banter over Moules Meniere cooked on an open fire with nothing but a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc and lashing of wild garlic.

Eh i would as i met the man several times, he was a good friend of my cousins and uncle. Think his ashes are being scattered in the harbour in Kinsale, not too sure about that. Only saw thread now.

He was a tempermental auld fella though, but decent enough craic. Fell out with alot of neighbours in Kinsale though.

Really?

He was some man. Multifaceted character by all accounts.

Well i was much younger for the majority of the times i met him, and found him annoying and quite arrogant, but in my youth it wouldn’t have taken much for me to dislike an Englishman.
Met him a few years ago at the Food Fest and had a great night in his and Derek Davis’s company. He has some yarns about women in fairness.

He wasn’t funny when i was younger, but i got it when i was older if you get what i mean.

I don’t think I ever saw any of his tv programmes, but always thought of him as a bit eccentric

Our sense of humour becomes more refined the older we get.

Well, in theory anyway. Mine just gets more and more infantile
