L na gclub - have a day to celebrate the clubs but ban club games. You couldnât make it up. I see some counties ignored it - brought in under Nickey Brennanâs watch but Kilkenny had 3 senior championship games last night. Tipp played senior football yesterday too.
Whats wrong with playing a tournament among yourselves bando? What mickey mouse club are you from that you could rustle up enough players for a game of your own?
I dunno MBB. I reckon club players want competitive games in the summer not another day chalked off the list.
With the county leagues going on players should have plenty of games at this time of year. Most players I spoke to were glad to have a weekend off so to speak, where all they did was spend time with their own and feck around in an aul exhibition game. Great to see some old timers togging out again, from the cradle to the grave with the GAA.
