It’s the TFK way mate. Fall in.
Sure it’s all we have.
We need the weaker counties like Tipp to be competitive.
He will in his hoop, he’s delighted the scheming cunt.
Will Coach Cody look for another year or will he pack it in?
Tipperary are poised to reap the whirlwind. They shamefully discarded one of their finest servants and ambassadors when they ruthlessly dismissed Hotpoint in a sleight of hand trick you wouldn’t see at Ballinasloe horse fair.
They’ll never have a days luck for that oul’ underhanded sleeveenism.
We’ve won an All Ireland since that eejit left
He’s retired.
I know that but it’s not right so it’s not….
Cody stepping down tomorrow. Derek Lyng and u20 management stepping up.
A final fuck you to Henry.
Seems it will be announced this evening now.
Nothing definite yet on replacement. But I reckon you are spot on.
Wonderfully orchestrated by BC.
How so, isn’t Shefflin in change of your chumps. Cody doesn’t give a continental fuck who’s upset/happy/fearful/demented.
He’s been there and done it - coldly and impressively. He’s knocked a great tune out of them over the almost quarter century, there’s been a raft of great victories and a scatter of all time greats. He’s left a legacy that’ll last forever.
Hoping that’s the way they go (if indeed the speculation is true).
Lyng deserves it after the job he did with the 20’s this year - they showed the same battling qualities in the Leinster semi, final and AI final that the Seniors under Cody are known for.
Who else was with Lyng along with Rice?
Peter Barry
It’s Lyngs job for sure.
Oh I think you are very wrong here.
Beating Kilkenny will never mean as much again.
The beatings of 10, 16 and 19 offered some redress to Tipp supporters and will have added weight to achievements of some of those Tipp players who played in all 3 finals. I’m sure any player covets an All Ireland medal but to do it against a Brian Cody managed team was really the pinnacle such was the aura and esteem in which he is held. I always said you had to be 6 points better than Kilkenny to beat them by 1. Sunday encapsulated that albeit with the margin being 2 when the final tallies were delivered. Kilkenny were relentless and ruthless in those years and a team that would strike fear. Never beaten. Im not sure I’ve ever witnessed a team that in many ways was a mirror image of their manager. I am sad to see him go as its a reminder of some sorts that time waits for no man and nothing lasts forever but when the story of hurling is rewritten again it will be quite a legacy left behind. For Kilkenny supporters they will be glad they lived through this era under Cody. For other followers of the game once the losses assauge they too will appreciate what he did for the game all the same.
