We will never see the likes of Cody again. From the outside youd hate there success but he was never an unlikeable character as you knew it was his drive for success. I hope he can enjoy his retirement. By god the man deserves it
I heard a few times he never took a cent for appearances from clubs who got him to speak at functions.
Always thought he was overrated.
Its a mental statistic. Winning 1 is an achievement for anyone.
Just told the auld bouy there, he took it worse than when he found out about a neighbours passing the other month.
He’s ruined my entire adult life. Pretty much.
100pc true
Some man. I’d imagine he’ll take over as James Stephens manager for about 10 years now
Not if Fan has anything to do with it.
Fan will be the most devastated of us all because BC will be more around the Village now.
Fifty years service. Some going.
He used to go to every training session already I think unless Kilkenny were training the same night
I wonder did the circus surrounding the “Handshake?” have any bearing on it and the backlash that ensued?
Either way,He gave me way more happy memories than bad over his tenure and for me,thats the bottom line. His record wont be surpassed.
To use his own words,he was Phenomenal.
I would say it had absolutely no bearing whatsoever.
Fan is only interested in one thing and one thing only, Fan!
And there, a piece of my life goes with him .
He’s some man to go funerals as well. Just about every funeral I’d be at in the south east, you’d invariably see him there.
Very classy the way the whole thing was done, between the Kilkenny county board statement, Brian’s low key exit with no fanfare (no press conference) and his possible desire not to take the shine off Limericks win by announcing it straight away. Credit to all and he will never be equalled in his success as a GAA manager.
Let’s get this thread back on track.
