Hell of a win considering the referee was totally one sided. He’s a next door neighbour of the O’Loughlins trainer as far as I know, gave them everything going. Any neutral at the game was of the same opinion. The discipline of the lads was terrific considering our reputation down the years with referees.
It was a terrific game and standard for a junior final. Good hurling all round and not a dirty stroke to be seen.
Thank fuck we won. Might craic around the place last night. Today and the next few days should be no different.

Ballyhale were 6 up at ht in the first senior semi. They are now 9 down and a man down.

3-8 to 0-1 Village outscored them so far in 2nd half.

Ballyhale looked a bit of a mess against Clara a few weeks ago so this is hardly much of a surprise.

The Boro building up a nice lead against the wind.

I’m led to believe it will be the first “city” final since 1950 @GeoffreyBoycott ?

Correct, Dicksboro v Eire Og in 1950. One of the victorious Dicksboro players in 1950 (also a Kilkenny All Ireland winning captain) finished his career with a most unusual record in club hurling.

Paddy Grace?

No

VIllage v Boro final

Guys, are the clubs in Kilkenny city based on different areas / parishes or is there a upper class / working class divide or neither or what?

They look at households P60s and incomes annually and that determines what club you play for. All forms must be filled out by the 16th December or “Form Day” as it’s called in the city.
