What,like getting beaten by everyone?
They suffered a ridiculous amount of injuries last year — not playing at home wasn’t helpful and then being rode rotten by officials v Tipp as well.
Michael Cahill got sent off for nothing in that Tipp Waterford game. The goal was a terrible decision without doubt but Cahill’s sending off had at least as much of an impact on the result
No it didn’t. The Tipperary goal that never crossed the line, so late in the match had a much bigger impact on the result.
Hurling was at an all time low in 14 and 15
Where is it now ?
Playing with 14 men for most of the game is worth at least 3 points to the opposition
ye wouldn’t have needed the ghost goal then
That’s my point
We are currently witnessing the greatest era of hurling.
I think you need to look at your post again
Cahill is an experienced corner back. He was already on a yellow card. Regardless of whether the marginal call on the second yellow card was correct or not, when you’re on a yellow card, you don’t ask the question of the ref. The Jason Forde goal that never was, entirely down to incompetence of the officials. Typical Tipperary whinging to try and argue the two events are comparable.
Both decisions were as a result of bad officiating, one of them was a worse decision but both had an equal impact on the result of the game IMO
‘‘Twas all the one in fairness. Waterford were going nowhere last year between the injuries and Derek’s cock ups.
Its quickly entering the realm of the phantom (entirely valid) penalty of '09
Possibly, but if they’d got the win against Tipperary, they could still have stumbled out of the round robin. I’d have fancied them to beat Cork last day, if it wasn’t a dead rubber. They’re well rested up for this year anyway and looking at Ozzie on Saturday night, thought he looked injury free for the first time in a long time.
The sending off of Cahill was also down to the incompetence of the officials. The umpires deemed the ball to have crossed the line in what was a marginal call, when you are in that situation you catch the ball and don’t ask the question of the umpire. Typical jeff whinging to wum the site.

Typical Tipperary whinging. They were the beneficiaries of one of the biggest hurling refereeing injustices in living memory and they’re still on complaining ‘we wuz robbed’. On balance, Mickey Cahill’s foul on DJ Foran probably merited a second yellow card and he was correctly shown the line.
The greatest eras need cork , Tipp and Kk to be below average .

Sad but true.
