It’s incredibly difficult officiate from the middle of the field depending on player reactions to make decisive & fair calls.
He made a positive impact yesterday. Set up at least 2 or 3 scoring opportunities when we were struggling to do so.

It’s not like there was some option, they were 3 points down. Even if there was a minute left (time was up) you’d still lob it in. Not Dowling’s fault, a player in the heat of battle shouldn’t be expected to know how much time is left.

Shane Dowling enquired as to whether there was time for another play or not. He actually asked “is it over when the ball goes dead?” or something to that effect. He was asking Kiely to find out from the, 4th official. How the fuck is he supposed to know what’s left in the dying minutes of a frantic knock out game.

The point is that he should not have needed to be in a position to enquire. That information and instruction should have been proactively given from his management.

While some of your post may have some merit the bit in bold is horseshit. Kilkenny created their best goal chances by running from deep at the Limerick full back line.
Kilkenny sliced us open 3 times and we were lucky. None of which came from balooning the ball toward Fennelly
