Kilmarnock v Celtic ☘

1-4.

Think Celtic have been quite easy to play through today, despite the scoreline.

Killie have been abysmal (so far) but would still be very nervous for Celtic’s chances in the CL qualifier.

McGregor’s lack of mobility & defensive instincts fairly apparent at the base of midfield.

I think Donovan is an inferior player to Ralston. He is awful on the ball.

Small point but McGregor inevitably breaks down every February for 3-4 weeks having played every minute of every game. 5-1 up here, surely these are the times when he should be taken off & his minutes monitored & Celtic start to look to midfield configuration without him.

Forrest very greedy there. Should have squared Tounekti.

Very encouraging performance but not everyone is going to play as open against us domestically.

Hopefully Hassan and a few midfielders get confirmed next week.

Hogh silenced the Indo Sports podcast who were quite disparaging about him after his performance against Dundee on Monday night. You can’t write a fella off after one game. He was flying it in the Champions League last season.

Not to get all wanky because the hat trick is clearly the main thing but his all round game was brilliant today. Because most of his goals are in the box, as they all were today, there was a school of thought he doesn’t do much outside it. He was Suttonesque today the way he was taking the ball in, holding off defenders and getting moves going. Deft lay offs, crisp passes & some sweeping balls out to the wide players. He was really good.

I think it was Aidan O’ Hara who said that if he Hogh was the answer then what was the question? In relation to a player who scored 6 goals in last seasons Champions League. I think his signature was the quite the coup for Celtic.

£11 million odd signings should be dominating in the SPL. It’s a wonder the owner doesn’t just bring a couple every year. I’ve never seen the lad play, but he has the pedigree to be doing that.

There’s always been a few lads like that at Celtic when they were going well. Yer man has just cut it to the bone.

Hope Martin is ok.

Glasgow Celtic are currently flying it mate. It’s the most successful and sustained era of domestic success in their near 140 year history. 14 of the last 15 League of Scotland titles, 7 League and Cup doubles in the last 10 seasons and bookmakers already paying out just 2 games into the season on a 15th league win in 16 seasons.

Not that you’d think they were flying it with the amount of whinging and moaning from their seemingly permanently dissatisfied fanbase. I can remember them well going a decade without winning a league title between 1988 and 1998 and probably less moaning then there is now. Simpler and more less entitled times I suppose in the pre-snowflake, pre-woke generation.

Rangers mismanagement has helped them immensely. The club has recent European pedigree. They could be going better. You used to see the most wonderful and unique players at Rangers and Celtic and I don’t even mean Gazza, Laudrup or Di Canio.

Big lad today might be a step back in time

Rangers should just get Stephen Gerard with a coach. These Stephen Presley and Craig Levein types aren’t the level.

If I were Rangers, I’d take a look at Clint Hill or Joey Barton.

Dennis Wise would be a great fit for Rangers.

Another fella, you just need a nerd to train the team and a star to threaten the players and talk to the media. Look what happened when the let that Beale fella out, he wasn’t even a nerd though. It’s not that hard.
