The game should be going ahead but there’s some rumours that Boruc is injured and that would mean (whisper it!) Mark Brown coming in.
As an aside, Gary Caldwell has been excellent for the last year both domestically and in Europe. He’s matured into quite a good player. Stephen McManus, meh, and Glenn Loovens, muck!

stop…caldwell is muck but not as muck as other two mentioned…that’s what saves him…but still doesn’t make him a good player…
I disagree. He had a storming finish to last season as part of the comeback and he’s been consistently good this season. Unfortunately, Strachan’s played him out of position in midfield at times but when he’s played centre back he’s been spot on. I’m thinking Manchester United at home, Villarreal away and nearly all the domestic games.
just see him as a hoofer who thinks he can pass…gives shit ball to front two yet keeps on trying to…instead of giving it to midfielder who can kick it…he also has a bad habit of climbing all over opponents and giving away a needless free when he’d be better off just shadowing them…i will give you that he finished last year’s league well but sure even a stopped clock tells the right time twice a day…
He is a lot more solid that he used to be different player now to the one 2yrs ago.
The only thing I wil saw is the last thing he is is a hoofer and believe me there have been times when I said just hit the fuckin thing

Brown wasn’t on the bench at the weekend, Fox was instead. Do we know why that was? Not that keen on what I’ve seen of Fox to be honest. If we’re still whispering I think I’d prefer Brown to start.
Caldwell is a class centre half. He’s been superb for Celtic and Scotland for ages now. One or two blips like every centre half but the guy has ability and his covering and reading of the game has been excellent. McManus is limited but he could learn an awful lot about how to do the right thing by taking a look to his right now and again.
I was wondering if Fox was on the bench because of the U21 rule but I read elsewhere over the weekend that you must have at least three U21 players in your matchday 18, but that the sub 'keeper can’t be one of them. That would suggest Brown himself has a niggle, Fox has overtaken him or Strachan was just giving him some experience with the first team squad.
And a shitty concession from a corner before which Aiden hit the bar and Brown missed a one on one. We need to keep playing as we are but have to take our chances.
Odd half that. Started superbly, went quiet for a bit but then got the goal and could and should have had two more before a very sloppy goal to concede. O’Dea has to take majority of the blame. Hurt a bit by the deflection on the cross but he needed to be more aware of who was behind him. It’s something that’s happened him before. He’s been very good otherwise.
McGeady playing well and McDonald looks sharp and with Crosas and Naka in the team it looks like there’ll be chances and in fairness to Brown he’s bombing forward well.
Samaras isn’t in it at all which is disappointing. Need to make sure we keep passing it because when we keep the ball and have Naka and Aiden drifting around the box we look like we’ll rip them apart.
Great start by Celtic. Then conceed a goal from a poxy corner!
Aiden did great for the goal, nice pass by Crosas and good finish by Skippy.
Brown should have defo made it 2, Aiden unlucky not to score, two good saves from Killie keeper.
You’re right Bandage, Celtic need to keep playing as we were before the equaliser. We should be 3 or 4 up by now!
Need to score relatively early in the second half because we’re hardly secure at the back and the more we push forward, then the greater chance we’ll be caught by a breakaway or yet another set piece.
Samaras should be hooked if he doesn’t cop the fook on.
Boruc 6 nothing to do, no chance with goal, cleared his lines when he needed to
Hinkel 7 got forward, used the ball well again
Caldwell 6 didn’t have a great game. Gave away a few free kicks and lost some challenges. Decent passing though
McManus 5 Bullied by Kyle.
O’Dea 6.5 Poor for the goal when he was positionally unaware but did very well otherwise. One crucial tackle. Passed it well throughout and as is his style he even found himself playing up front when he felt like it.
Naka 6.5 Some decent passing but didn’t really get all that involved. Hit the wall with two decent thefreekick.com chances.
Crosas 7 Not as dominant as in previous games but never gave it away, kept things ticking over and got forward in support a few times. Needs to demand the ball from Brown a bit more because he’s a far better passer.
Brown 7 Plenty of drive and put himself about well and got on the ball alot. Too many stray passes but had at least three decent shots on goal and he is definitely getting more chances for himself.
McGeady 8 Thought Aiden was magnificent. Bit of bite in his game which I think should be encouraged in a winger and he had two men on him the whole time but was still involved in both goals as well as his own chance and Brown’s chance in the second half. A fucking joy to watch.
Sammy 6 - Just didn’t get involved enough. Ran about well enough but still relied on McDonald to do most of the running down the channels. Seemed to improve a bit in the second half but not enough really.
McDonald 9 - Two very well taken goals and worked his socks off. About two or three early misplaced passes when he should have done better but he knuckled down and played very very well. Just before his first goal we hadn’t had a decent passing move in ages but he got on the end of a long ball, held it up, we knocked it about and eventually it came back to him to finish a minute or so later.
Hutchison looked shit slow.
Conor Sammon played like a Celtic fan. Appalling touches.
Played really well first half until we conceeded. rest of the game was poor enuf.
All skippy did was complain throw his hands in the air and score 2 crackin goals:)
Brown worked hard as usual but was greedy when given his chance
That fuckin zonal marking is a pain in the disaster
[quote=“therock67”]Super win and a cracking game of football.

As for your ratings I agree overall except I would deduct .5 off all of them (except boruc - like u said had nuthin to do and skippy wasn’t that good to deserve anymore than an 8 )
Boruc - 6. Not tested.
Hinkel - 7. Pretty composed.
Caldwell - 6.5. Has played better lately.
McManus - 5.5. Getting done by a piece of skill by Kevin Kyle was a new low!
O’Dea - 7. Impressive, got drawn to the ball for their goal though.
Naka - 7.5. I thought he was a joy to watch at times tonight.
Brown - 7. Good drive and runs interspersed with some sloppy play.
Crosas - 7.5. Classy player, he’s gonna be a good 'un.
McGeady - 8. Excellent for both goals, also the move he started where he hit the bar and put Brown in for his chance too.
Samaras - 3. A wasted jersey.
McDonald - 9. Sensational second goal. Took the first one excellently too. Hold up play improved noticeably and worked his balls off.
