I’d say Clifford is comparable to maradona in his fame and quality. (Minus the woman beating and drugs) The Dublin players are more akin to Man City where it’s a team effort. Clifford is a one man band. Even the lack of social media creates a mystic about Clifford compared to all other gaa players. You could see a scenario where he is snuck out of a training in Tralee or Killarney in the boot of a random car. There are very few examples of where real greatness is crossed with a maverick typ…
