Think so, mate.

Lads we’ve a new tenant moving in who wants us to get rid of the furniture /tables etc. That’s a massive pain in the arse and I don’t want to do it. Do I have to get rid of it?
@TheUlteriorMotive @mac @HBV @gilgamboa and obviously @Little_Lord_Fauntleroy

No

Thanks. Lock the thread.

Tell the tenant to fuck off and readvertise.

you are letting it furnished, why have you agreed terms with a tenant who wants an unfurnished house?

Definitely do it.

Do not listen to langers who want to be old landlord dictating everything to people.

View it as a partnership and build a relationship.

1 hour moving shit for building a bit of mutual respect. It should go a long way. You want them there for ling haul. Their own furniture will give them some ownership. They will be more invested in the house.

And verbalise this to them. You want them to feel comfortable and stay there long term.

The approach to land lirding in Ireland is appallibg and a British hangover. Don’t follow the crowd. View the big picture.
