Kelly Cates is very much not “scraping the barrel for a guest”. She’s a potentially excellent guest.
The problem is Patrick Kielty isn’t very good at steering conversations in interesting directions because he doesn’t have good interviewing skills.
The main problem with the Late Late Show since Gay Byrne has always been the host, who has at various times either been too serious, too smarmy, or too frivolous.
Time to let Queen Sarah at it.

I’d say he had a hair transplant too. He has more hair now than he did on the sideline at Kildare v Kerry in 1998.
