Leaving Cert Results

One of her advisors probably told her to say that its only one line out of 50,000 and it will be grand.

I believe the error in the line was that it was looking at the bottom 2 results in a persons Junior cert and not the top 2. Easy mistake to make.

I’m not an expert on coding but depends on how the line that is effect relates to the rest of the code

I’m colour blind and have a short attention span so I’m not great at coding either.

Surely it should have been picked up in testing? Wonder what there testing sample was like that they didn’t pick up on it, or did they pick up on it in testing but someone higher said look its grand it won’t have that much of an impact and they went ahead with it.

Looking a code will make you blind.

In my software modules in college there was usually two outcomes when I compiled my code.

My code doesn’t work and I don’t know why?

Were they using COBOL?

Yeah they gave in to popular opinion on twitter. Should have proceeded with the exams in late summer as initially suggested. Sitting the exams was the only fair way.

You would think those twins on the six one would wear something other than grey tracksuits?

Fianna Failed the Leaving Cert Students.

Yes indeed, layers and oversight are normas buzz words

The error will not disadvantage any student.

That’s not an error in the code. That is passing incorrect inputs to the model.

Either a breakdown in requirements gathering or a misunderstanding of the requirements

If there was an error in the code it wouldn’t run.

I’d imagine the Department of Education must have got some 2 bob consultancy like Version 1 or Expleo (formerly SQS) to handle the Quality Assurance/Testing piece rather than go for a heavy hiter like Accenture or Deloitte.
