Galway really threw away two of those finals to make it worse. 2020 they had hurled Kilkenny up a stick for most of the game. Then 2 quick KK goals in a minute out of absolutely nothing changed the game late on. 2023 the less said the better. Game all but over. P Mannion kicks a loose ball straight into Cillian Buckley’s hand and he dribbles a shot into the corner of the net.
Ye fucked up finals and wexford fucked up opportunities to play them in finals, and maybe as dumb as it seems, i would still not fear playing them in one. Its odd to say that you wouldnt think a team who won 6 in a row isnt great, but thats the way i see it anyway.

Galway should have beaten Kilkenny in Leinster Finals of 2020 and 2023. Threw both away in closing minutes. Galway lost by 5 points in 2022 Leinster Final. Granted Galway were abject on Sunday, but the reaction to their 8 point defeat is a little hysterical.

It’s not the defeat. It’s the manner of the defeat. It’s the fact that it was worse than the previous match against kk, and the fact that it was repeated across the underage sides. It’s very disheartening tbh. But on we go. I actually mind losing too much anymore but we have made no progress at all. We are getting worse. And the “tactics”? ??
I’d like to read up on the tactics in that match and who did what?
If anybody can post up an article or was at the match.
