Leinster Hurling Thread *

I think we were a point or two down in 2008 at half time and then Eddie Brennan scored a goal from about 40 yards after half time and we capitulated. Stephen Doyle ran riot in Thurles against Waterford, David O’Connor had his best game and managed to out muscle an opponent for the first time since he was U21 but it just wasn’t to be. At least we had the footballers…

Wexford v Kilkenny
Laois v Westmeath

A proper feast of Leinster Hurling on Leinster Final day.

I’d say it’ll be a TRIPLE header with the Laois Westmeath game on at 8am.

That’s mean mate.

I’ll see you in Portlaoise the day before

At least Laois are still in with a chance of lifting Liam McCarthy this year

Beat Westmeath and we’ve a nice run into a semi final place.

Nothing nuch to stop ye. Limerick will be easy fodder after tomorrow

Won’t look too far now. Westmeath, lift big Joe (the only Galway man left in the Hurling this year), and bring Dublin to fortress O Moore Park.

5 Leinster counties in the All Ireland last 8?

Only in the door. This thread for venue and atmosphere.

Good view from the back of the stand. Knowledgeable supporters around us. Excellent atmosphere in the ground. Overall very good experience. Parked up in Clonard and stopped for chips in Waterford.

Hold on now, pitch could do with a roll. Needs attention tbh

Pitch needs savage investment. Looks a lot better than it is.

I see the attendance was 15,200? I thought there was more than that in there last night as there seemed to more people on the pineridge end than in previous years.

GAA attendances are always a little odd. Based on previous games and numbers quoted I’d say closer to 20.

Yeah I’d have to agree with you there… that was surely our biggest attendance ever as in previous years the pineridge end was never full. They must have done a job on it as I felt there was a larger crowd than usual there.

While the stand looked full, people didn’t seem to be crammed in as tightly. Maybe they held back some stand and side terrace tickets and more people were on Pineridge terrace as a result. Wexford was looking resplendent last night. The shots down to Wexford harbour on the TV coverage were delightful. I need to manipulate my life partner and get us moved back to Wexford. My son needs to be playing with Faythe Harriers, not Clontarf, Raheny or St Vincent’s.

An old firm Leinster final to look forward to.

If we get a Cark v Tipp final now hurling is saved

The savage loves his native shore. You could lose every battle for the rest of your days, but this one, this mountain must not be faltered upon.
