Leinster Rugby

Was a good achievement (it was Leinster B tbh) and Munster should have kicked on from there. They didn’t unfortunately.

Spot on, Leinster had the Champions Cup final the following week so played a weak enough team. Despite that, Munster only scraped through.

Leinster should have won and Munster should still be after their first silverware since 2011 when they beat a hungover Leinster who had just won a second Heineken Cup.

Jeez it is fabulous that this defeat still rankles so much

At least ye won the Champions cup final after…

The whinging over James Lowe leaving is incredible.

Leinster wage budget must be forty percent bigger than the other three provinces.

It’s no mystery that nobody can compete with them.

The irfu finally even things up some bit and it’s just one big whinge.

The Munster fans harking back to the glory days of beating Leinster’s B team by a point is hilarious

There’s way more of that Leinster team still starting for Leinster than there is Munster.

I’m not sure of the relevance of that.

The Leinster team that day was definitely the B team though. They wanted to win and didn’t. Was a great Munster win. So was the final. I’d happily say Leinster haven’t had a win of that calibre (away in SA in a big game) in that time.

I don’t have an issue with Lowe leaving except for that he should still be allowed to play for Ireland.

The reality is that Leinster can’t pay a player who doesn’t line out for them enough. It puts the reality of having so many internationals into focus.

Leinster can pay him. they choose not to.

Paying a player that much who doesn’t play for you makes no sense.

Munster done it with Peter o Mahony while he was Irish captain and there wasn’t one journalist or ex player who cried wolf like there is over James Lowe.

Same with Conor Murray.

Munster lost donnacha Ryan and Simon zebo and there was no sympathy.

Crowley nearly left for Leicester last season when he was messed about for his contract and the media said fuck all.

Nah similar deal to what Lowe’s was.

The media said plenty of Crowley, which is why you’re aware of it. Similarly with Zebo and Ryan.

Everything about Munster though.

None of the media came out and campaigned for Crowley like the tears we have over Lowe.

O Mahony was the Irish captain and got dumped off a central contract and Munster had to pick up the tab.

They had to let go off players to make it work. Same with Murray.

Nobody said anything.

The crying over Lowe is ridiculous.

It’s a new Lowe.

He’s not even fit looking and the only reason he isn’t retiring is because he was blessed to miss the Bordeaux / France games this season where he would have been embarrassed.

Leinster are more interested in paying trinkets like Barrett and Ioane than Lowe.

It’s not the Irfus fault.

Crowley was in a contract negotiation.

It had the typical rumblings.

Lowe has actually left but the national coach wanted him to stay on which is the main reason for the interest.

There’s been plenty of players to have left over the years with more mooted reactions like a Sean O’Brien as well. Zebo got lots of attention because it’s Zebo but the national coach was always meh on him.

I’ve been on record as wanting Cullen gone for a couple of years at least, not sure who you are addressing here.

Those Munster trolls should be water-boarded
