Yes. Very disappointing result. No disrespect to the Joe McDonagh, but for Antrim to really improve they need McCarthy Cup hurling for several years. A decent league campaign doesn’t cut it come championship time. Still, most of that team have a good few years still in them. Put the disappointment behind and go again next year. There is the consolation of retaining league status.

In an already condensed inter-county season, you’d think the GAA would have Leinster and Munster championship on successive weekends. All four provincial semi-finals last weekend, 3 alone on Saturday. Do we have both provincial finals next weekend and two qualifier games? We only really had Antrim-Laois this weekend. The one Saturday night I get the house to myself and there’s some shitty football game from Munster on.

Took them long enough to pull one out. Cheddar knew this year was about maintaining the Liam Mac and league status. The injury crisis in the league crippled him. He’s a fair amount back now and a free hit. Be interesting to see if he goes for it
