What was the significance of today’s game that would put it ahead of winning the all Ireland for ya? Genuine question and haven’t been following the thread in case you mentioned it before
Looks like it will be all be up for grabs again going into last round of the box office Leinster Round Robin. Galway will qualify in Round 4 when they annihilate the whipping boys of Laois. Dublin (unless they beat Kilkenny in Round 4) and Kilkenny and Wexford likely to be slugging it out for 2 places on last day.
Munster Round Robin looks likely again to fade out into a serious of dead rubbers with integrity of the competition possibly compromised again by the fielding of weakened teams.
Say what you want about Sky but the first thing they’d have done post match was show the most controversial/decisive moment in the match from about 10 different angles and discussed it. And they’d have been all over the handshake too, sticking a camera in Shefflin & Cody’s face.
How the state broadcaster can still have no real feeling for dramatic moments in games is beyond me.
“You were impressed with the Galway passing, Derek?”
