I saw it there a week or two ago. They’re getting good crowds these days between grub, tourists, grub, ceol agus ól sessions and matches.

The last time I was in it was years ago. I pulled in one autumn evening making me the 4th car parked outside. I went in to find my fine 3 patrons and the landlord of the time (Cardiff). The 3 buckos were all “serving driving bans” at the time. Wasn’t a word said. :pint: :pint:

A young lad in his late teens drowned in the canal in Ballinamore last night. Festival related I assume.

He is Alan Creamer from Mohill. I don’t know him but probably know his parents.

I heard last week that a girl I went to school with had passed away from leukaemia.

Very sad. Early 40’s and three kids left.

Nice girl I always though. Very quiet.

So it turns out that she was an active member of a dissident republican group and they attended the funeral and gave her a military style send off. I didn’t see that coming.

I see Oliver Haslette has passed away RIP.

A tremendous Manorhamilton and its environs man, a visionary and an alright sort.
His daughter-in-law is only dead a few months, a young woman hardly in her 40’s……

Fuck Tommy and his oul’ sniping. He’s pontificating against McGirl this many years and it hasn’t, in a single way, influenced the affection and respect the great majority of the people of B’more or the surrounding parishes had and continue to hold for the man’s memory.

Tommy conveniently forgets the good deeds (and there are many) the man carried out without seeking plĂĄmĂĄs or attention.
Tommy is an embittered prick.

He is indeed.

FAO @Massey - a blueshirt indeed. The political landscape of the town is made up of Sinn Féin (the McGirl faction) and Fine Gael (Reynolds tribe) and has been for decades. There hasn’t been a Fianna Fáil candidate not to mind a councillor from the town in my lifetime.
