Iāve never quite understood the hate that Rory gets, something about being northern Irish but not having a connection to Ireland. Wasnāt someone on here talking about that recently?
I think he said previously that he considers himself British, not irishā¦which is strange given that the lived his whole life in Ireland. Dumping both his childhood sweetheart and then the woman he dumped her for by text didnāt endear him to too many people either I supposeā¦he doesnāt seem to have any moral conviction but good to luck to him, he has loads of money.

I think what he said was he felt more British than Irish, which is understandable given his upbringing. He also said he would have been uncomfortable standing under the Union Jack or the tricolour and listening to either anthem, as he doesnāt feel a connection to either. Itās a complicated question for a lot of the younger generation from NI, Iām not sure you appreciate their mindset.
As for his love life, itās nobodyās business really is it. How well would your own 20s hold up under tabloid scrutiny?

For a Northern Catholic, heās not a nationalist but I certainly wouldnāt consider him a unionist either.

Rory is like Tyrone in the latter half of Mickey Harteās reign. Good for picking up McKenna cups and an odd Ulster title but shites the kaks when it comes to the important stuff.
