Heās done. Hasnāt the mentality for a tight finish. He was 1 behind after the opening 9 and just collapsed. He had a lot of talent, good iron player and a reasonable putter but very flakey when single-mindedness becomes the key. Talks a good game but then they all do.

The American lads that have come along the last few seasons have irked him, Rahm as well now.
There was always an element of truth in this. He has only won majors when he leads into the final round and in 3 of his 4 majors he was leading by a country mile.

Sure didnāt Eldrick Tont lead going into the last round in something like 14 of the 15 majors that he won? He was hopeless coming from behind.
