Why would you go if you didnât have to? All the âproâ athletes who live off the drip of State funding moaning about the golfers not respecting the Olympics can shut up as far as Iâm concerned. Nobody cares about their sports outside of the Olympics, where national pride for a couple of weeks takes over, of course theyâll risk everything to go.

They should be hit with fines holding 80% of their prizemoney for the next year if they donât go.
Why? any athlete can decide not go to the Olympics if he doesnât want to regardless of where it is on. Hopefully they see sense and immediately remove golf from the Olympics. It should never be there in the first place.
Why was there such a push to get golf into the Olympics is the bigger issue. Golfers are picky cunts who will only play tournaments to make money or improve their rankings. And fair play, itâs their job. So the Olympics is a mile down their list of preferred tournaments and it will fuck up their money making.
Why the cunts have to use spurious bullshit excuses that impact on genuine sports people and even more impacts on the tourism factor of Rio is beyond me. Just say you are greedy self centred cunts and let others go there without creating a false sense of hysteria.
Simply, because theyâre damned if they do, damned if they donât. If thereâs one mainstream journalist straight up enough to say Olympic golf is a completely made-up concept, I have yet to see him/her. Rory, GMac, Lowry etc are dead fucking right to suit themselves, whatever their motivation.
But thats just it, I dont give a fuck whether they go or not, but making up bullshit excuses that negatively impacts the event is fucked up. Itâs a bullshit excuse to cover over their own personal gains and Iâd have more respect for them if they just said it will interfere with their golfing season or upcoming events. They dont have to have an interest in the Olympics, but stop fucking it up on everyone else going on about a virus that will have virtually no effect due to the time of year that the event is on.

Exactly. Cant say I took too much notice of it at the time as to who was pushing it, but itâs clear the golfers couldnt give 2 fucks about it. So be it, at the end of the day they have to look after their own interests (money) but if they dont give a shit then it shouldnt be in.
Should have just let amateur golfers in and fuck the pros.

Itâs all over the shop. I donât players can be blood tested at tour events.
Might be dangerous for them to go to an event that could randomly drug test them so.
Do the IOC drug test or is it up to the governing federations of the various sports?
