Those, along with other banners which had the words: ‘The terrorist or the dreamer, the savage or the brave, depends whose vote you’re trying to catch or whose face you’re trying to save’ were a protest against Scottish Parliament’s attempts to rid the game of sectarianism by making “expressions of Irish identity, culture and politics” illegal.
"I think there were a lot of other areas of the stadium where the supporters were scratching their heads and trying to understand the reasoning behind it.
"Since then we know the reasons behind it, but it certainly wasn’t the time or place for a display like that.
“I don’t know what you can do about it. It is certainly not welcome within the stadium. We understand that they maybe have legitimate complaints over some of the laws being brought in but Celtic Park is not the place to bring banners in like that.”
He really is one self-abasing cretin of a man. How about he starts to concentrate on his shit team-selection, tactics and general cluelessness rather than having pops at the fans so he can appease his masters.
He’s right. Cellic fans should have instructions on their banners instead.
Something like ‘We believe in you boys but please concentrate when defending set-pieces’.

It is not guaranteed you will play in the Champions League every year…I think there were a lot of other areas of the stadium where the supporters were scratching their heads and trying to understand the reasoning behind that."
Not guaranteed due to the biscuit tin…I.e Wanyama
If only the other fans even scratched there might be an atmosphere!!!
Celtic Park is full of boring scottish cunts , left to them it would be a morgue. Without the Irish contingent the place be left to scots who support the team for sectarian reasons. They support Celtic because they are Catholic, not a proper reason. Those type of people will stand in silence for a minute for some aul cunt of a mother who called Irish people pigs and think wearing the poppy on the jersey was ok.When I see the saltire at games my heart drops like a helicopter.
I don’t totally agree with you on Lennon, Rudi, but on this issue your spot on!
The invasion of these new age Scottish wankers who are trying to impress their bigoted anti-Irish and anti-Catholic culture on our club. You could see that change envelop Celtic Park when O’Neill took charge and the success that came with, a new breed of fans latched on who seemed to be at odds with everything the club was about and now sadly they seem to probably be in the majority. The hardcore fans who travel home and away still represent the ethos of the club (although there is a growing amount of these cheeky chappy kilt wearing cunts who now frequent the Euro away trips).
This has also been manifested with a board who care nothing about this club, its history or its fans. When you see what Celtic are today and the way the club has bent over backwards in order to have Celtic’s identity and culture suppressed - it’s hard to feel in any way passionate about them.
Walking into the San Siro, a gang about 20 ft away started singing, The Boys Of The Old Brigade, two cunts in front of me said, oh no not this Ira shit…30 seconds later the whole place was singing and atmosphere was brilliant, left to those scottish cunts it be prawn sandwich…
- I disagreed with Neil Lennon’s comments.
I support Neil Lennon as Celtic manager and want him to continue in the role.
Scotland is a backward hellhole.
This isn’t the first time and Lennon continues to sink to new depths each time.
He has fucked the Green Brigade over multiple times (Rennes, Udinese, poppy banner and Milan in midweek) to appease his bosses. He fucked Alan Thompson over to save himself. He will do anything to stay in that job because he knows he doesn’t have the tactical acumen, charisma and man-management skills to succeed in management.
I’m counting down the days until he leaves Celtic.

My sources are firm in their view that Thompson’s departure was inevitable. Everybody had lost patience with him - fellow coaches, players and board.
I’m not in agreement with Lennon’s stance on the Green Brigade. He’s been fairly inconsistent - planting the league title trophy at their section and praising them on occasion and then rubbishing them at other times. I’m not sure if that’s his own view or if he’s toeing the board line on that one.
I think he’s quite a good manager though I’d like us to play with the same tempo and movement we displayed today more often. Quite a way to celebrate his 200th game in charge of Celtic.

But Celtic are neither an Irish, nor a catholic club. They expressly had it as policy from the outset that players of any religion could play for them. Unlike their neighbours.
