Limerick GAA TV to Broadcast 4 Games this weekend.

This coming weekend will decide the placings for the knockout stages of the 2021 Bons Secours County Senior Hurling Championship and with so much depending on each game Limerick GAA TV will broadcast live coverage of all 4 games across an action-packed weekend.

First up is the meeting of South Liberties and Garryspillane on Friday evening from 7.30 while on Saturday Na Piarsaigh and Ballybrown meet from 6PM.
Sunday sees 2 live games as Ahane meet Doon at 2PM while at 6PM Adare and Kildimo Palaskenery finish off the weekends action.
Each game can be purchased individually for €10 or there is the option of a weekend pass to watch all 4 games for the reduced cost of €30…

Wasn’t there a feck up with the last round of games. For a couple of my neighbours the picture only lasted 5-10 minutes. No refund offered or explanation given. Can’t remember seeing anything about it on here either.

Might have been a local issue. My local lotto man called last night and was complaining about it. He was of the opinion that it was a streaming problem and he wouldn’t be buying it again.

Said he went down to a neighbour and that he had the same problem. So I don’t know after that.

If one was to purchase the pass, we would be able to watch all matches back deferred? I know that was the case last year.

That’s the way it was explained to me by the great Paddy Verdon. Each club has to grade players at the start of the year so I can’t see how any club could have two teams at any grade except the lowest grade in the county.

So I couldn’t see Doon fielding two Junior A teams. One would surely have to be Junior B.

I just heard there that there was a change made to the grading process in Limerick last year. Say if a graded senior player doesn’t play in the first senior match, he is automatically regraded and can play at a lower level thereafter.

I suppose it’s a good thing as it might help lads coming back from injury get a couple of games. But I also think it may help the strong clubs get stronger.

Not correct. The change made removed automatic regrading and the club now has to apply for regrading players immediately after the first championship game at the higher grade if they did not play in that game.

That’s the rule in Cork. My own club had our best player suspended from last year’s championship so missed the senior game sat and played Junior hurling on Sunday

You also see loads of teams not using any subs at all in early rounds so as not to burn eligibility for fellas on the fringes of the senior teams

The county boards across the country will never again allow paying at the gate surely! I’d say current process suits fine
