He brought five All Ireland medals into the city of Cork. Not too many can say that in recent times.
He channelled his inner Mossy Dowling to score the goal that day.
Always gave 100%. A model for any young lad coming up.
He should have gotten HOTY in 2018.crazy that he wasnt even nominated, but at least he got an all star that year.real good attitude and always gave his all.thank you for the memories
A great servant for Limerick hurling. Often under appreciated I felt but always gave his all for the cause. 4 in a row doesnât happen without Mulcahy slotting that last point in 2018. 5 all Irelands, 7 munster , 3 league medals, a Fitzgibbon cup, an all star, Munster u21 medal, 4 county titles and a Munster club. What a career!!
HOTY in 2018. No doubt. Won the final but also scored huge points in the semi when we were under the cosh.
Still kilmallockâs best player in the semi this year.
We spent his early part of his career wasting his talent until the 2 Ks revitalised him, some servant to the Balbec and the county, some haul of medals to look back at. May he enjoy his retirement.
They came a year too late for Seanie Tobin sadly
Didnât have an assault and/or dangerous driving conviction behind him.
His career seemed to be stalling from 2013 until 2018 when I was part of a defensive unit that was torn to shreds by Graeme in a Club Challenge game on Easter Sunday morning of that year.
Limerick had played Tipp in a League Semi Final in Thurles the night before and Graeme had barely featured, but the 2-06 from play he scored that Sunday morning seemed to give him the confidence to drive on and make his mark for Limerick that year and subsequently.
Along with Padraig Walsh of Tullaroan, heâd be the best non-Tipp player I ever played on the same field as.
Some how lads lorrying aimless ball down on top of our smallest player wasnât working as an effective strategy.
There was even a time he was actually out playing around wing-forward for large periods but we werenât playing a running game, getting him on the ball with little stickpasses or off-the-shoulder running; we were playing direct and having him compete under high ball. He always battled away in fairness to him.
Thatâs putting it very mildly. His work-rate, right up until the end, was incredible. He had heart
Quick, mobile, brave, hard worker, clever and an excellent finisher. Great Limerick player. Real end of an era vibe with another tie to that Munster winning team gone.
I was sitting next to Gavinâs dad that day. When the goal went in we both shouted Mossy Dowling!
Great servant of Limerick hurling, had class all the way back to his younger days and the 2011 Munster u21. Was phenomenal in 2018, canât add much more to what has already been said in tribute here.
Thanks Mul!
Well spotted
Shocking minimising of Cian Lynchs contribution in 2018 here.
