Surely 80% of that crowd was K/P. Mungret have a poor enough following generally

My sources tell me, Natal & Liam were going at it?

Comparing teams is always a case of Apples v Oranges.

The Tipp team 09-19 was unlucky to come across the greatest team of all time and finished coming across the 2nd best of the modern era.

A game I’d like to see would be Tipp 2009/10 v the current Limerick team to see who would win.

Limerick would be favourites but it would not be a fore gone conclusion imho.

Limerick would hammer them, turn them inside out.

They massively massively underachieved.

Would be a smashing game, that Tipp team were always in great games.

They seemed to always be slightly susceptible to physical teams.

Forwards were indeed absolute snipers, nearly beat Galway in 17’ on very little ball.

The 11’ 12’ 13’ seasons must be really regretted. I don’t think they gave it their best shot for whatever reason. Were v unlucky in 14’ and shouldve won.

I’d suspect Limerick are a bad match up for them but it would be very interesting. Tipp would have the shooters from outside though which a lot of teams today don’t.

If the 2021/22 Limerick team met the 2018 version they’d beat them by 20 points.

The game moves on quickly.

What was the story with griffen? A late change?

Tipp lads are making a show of themselves again. Limerick are rent free in their heads. At least other countys have kept theor self respect and accept that Limerick have a generational team among the all time great

Dunno about that, they had the greatest team of all time to share that era, unfortunately for hurling fans outside of Limerick the current kingpins don’t have another great team to worry about

True, just thought to not win one betwwen 11 and 15 with their talent was disappointing.

The players gave it plenty tbf.

They were not at all managed to the level Limerick currently are.

Kilkenny were not coached like the current Limerick team either but they were just an astonishingly good panel of players.

5 missed frees. Paulie did miss a couple too, plus the penalty (honestly expect Chawkie to save it every single day).

The ball into our forwards in the second half was very poor, we simply have to improve that.

Kilkenny were better in 11/12.

In 2013 Kilkenny were never going to let us beat them down there.

Bubbles shot was over the bar until that joke called Hawkeye ruined it in 2014.

Think Barrett was dropped in 15 then.

A great team but underachieved when it came to medals. Limerick only had one blip.

I think they’re actually friends but yeah.

Cronin was giving it the big’un at full-time, he wasn’t exactly gracious in victory :joy::joy: and Natal didn’t take too kindly to that. Only words from a distance though, nothing major tbh.

Who are ye playing next?

Liberties.

Who will probably be a lot stronger than Mungret on paper anyway. Like Mungret were missing a fair few and Liberties should have everyone unless something happens tonight.

Nash’s puckouts a threat too.
