Was an unbelievable evening for a match for a spectator, whatever about players. And maybe a few pints afterwards.
Went down to Lough Gur. Was planning to go up town later but fell asleep in the chair
What a player at his best. Would be ahead of any of the current Limerick lads on talent.
He was going for a goal as soon as the ball was hit to him. He was something else.
The sense of anticipation when he wins the ball is unreal.
ALTC no.27… haven’t heard much about him in recent years, has he fallen out if love with the game or gad bad injuries?
You’d love to know what he could have achieved if he played with this crop
Hit a cracker of a penalty as well and it was the 2 goal Donie game.
We ambushed Waterford that day.
Met 2 blaas that day while having a pint about a half hour before the match. They were sound enough to a point. They askedme how I thought it would go. I said that Waterford should win it by about 4. With that one of them said to me that " it won’t stop at ten" By sheer coincidence they were sitting about two rows down from me. When Begley buried the last goal , they got up and left
Absolutely. You’d have to think that without the illness he’d have still been starting in 2018.
Easiest 9/2 shot I ever backed.
Hurley carriers? Jesus NCW don’t need to worry about that, the Hurley’s have been carrying for years
How old would he have been then?
Mike O Brien played a blinder there Ger… actually passed the ball to himself
The Hurley carriers wouldn’t delay in getting involved in a schmoozle anyway!
Them? Never.
Think he’s injured at the moment. Would obviously be a definite starter if fit.
Played last year but wasn’t great tbh. Hasn’t really kicked on from where he was at around 2016.
