Limerick GAA 2023 - League champions means nothing now šŸ

Thereā€™s absolutely nothing wrong with asking people to spend ā‚¬150 on a jersey. More power to them if they can manage it. Fleece the fuckers when the going is good

The issue is the lads who would actually pay that.

Flights will cost them the bones of 200k.

Assume they went on the holiday between Christmas and New Year which would have a premium attached to it too.

Kerry put ten quid on top of their all Ireland final tickets this year for the holiday fund. Limerick probably had between 40k and 50k at the final.

Thereā€™s probably a lot easier ways to raise the 500k or so they needed.

A fool and his money. I wouldnā€™t mind but itā€™s a gank jersey and all

Do they go on two holidays per year?

The Big House usually flaunts his resort in Sandy Lane around October to ruin the Club Championship as much as possible.

Insurance costs and a lump of cash in case they get in any bother with locals then as well. It doesnā€™t be long adding up.

A work colleague (from Kerry) says that has always been the case and not something they just added in this year.

I think the first trip was a thank you and the second one was due to covid maybe? I heard a lot werenā€™t keen to go back.

Theyā€™ve been doing it ages, Iā€™m nearly sure Croke Park told them they werenā€™t allowed to do it anymore a few years back, but theyā€™ve obviously got around it

Yeah I have heard its miserable enough over there.

The Big House also has a policy of ā€˜no free drinkā€™ and ā€˜no phonesā€™ over there I believe. With the behaviour of these Limerick players off the field over the years, its hard to argue with it.

A friend of a friend dad is high up in the business side of coolmore and his family get a trip every summer. Heard him say you couldnā€™t pay him to go anymore. An incredibly boring place and ropey enough if you venture of the facility.

I know a few Limerick lads who will pay the 150. Lads who wouldnt dream of going to a club game. You know the type.

ā‚¬150 would surely get Sean Finn to deliver it to you and all. I see heā€™s flat out these days going around to the schools.

Yeah but half of that went on the legal and medical costs to cover up the damage done over there

They used to all get pocket money as well.
Itā€™s probably still the case.

Casualties are the cost of war

Thereā€™s a lot of lads dancing to our merry tune this morning

Itā€™s actually cheaper. Go 26/27th and itā€™s nearly 800 quid cheaper for a 10 day holiday in Cancun.

You sing this one lovely. JP is the PP.
