Our county players were a disappointment. They didn’t hurl at all sure. Their long puck out completely bypassed our midfield and we done nothing to counter it. It was their tactic. They stuck at it. And it paid off in the end.
You’d nearly be thinking of bringing Peter out of the corner from Limerick he would have to be CF though and Cian is so good there. Another option to have though

Ah, we need a player inside too, I think Casey definitely stays in.
You have Lynch or CON or Kyle as options for 11.
Kyle will almost certainly have to go back if Mike is after hurting himself badly. If Dan is 3 then Kyle will be 7.
Casey could quite easily fit in muls role
He’s tailor made for the Peter Casey role

You would think so. Unless Richie gets a start in the FB line.
But with Lynch presumably back, I think we can afford to move Kyle back if we have to.

I think we have to. There is no outstanding candidate at half back. We’re falling down with forwards
I’m hoping for Coughlan to kick on again next year, he went back a bit county-wise in 2022, but had a great club campaign.
But we did bring in a lot of new backs in 2022 because of all the injuries. But obviously have Casey, Lynch & Murphy back in the forwards. Plus another year of experience under the belt for Adam. Potentially SOB & AOC among others to join.
I guess it’s harder to standout in the club championship as a player who could potentially be a top class back because if you’re that good, you’re probably being played from midfield up for your club.

Coughlan has all the attributes physically. Up to him now.
We’ve CON, Boylan, Tom, Hego, Lynch, Reidy as half forward line options
I don’t think kyle is an option inside anymore and i really think he’ll take over from deccie at 6 anyway
He has to drop back next year

Nash won’t be moved as long as Kiely and Kinnerk are there but its a possibility alright if they aren’t.
Speed of thought a big thing for coughlan and concentration for me. Harder to fix. A lot harder to fix.

If we ever put Kyle into 6 we’ll be departing from the type of game we’re playing. I hope it never happens. It’s 7 for Kyle and I think if he is put there and left there he could go down as one of the greatest half backs to ever play such will be his dominance there.
Nash is the heir to Hannons throne at 6 but Hannon is going nowhere for a good few years yet.
Ethan Hurley is developing nicely too all the while. A very nice hurler and distribution is very good from 6.

Game plans evolve. Not many were calling for cian lynch to be moved from mid field.
Kyle would make an excellent six. If you’d hannon and nash either side of Kyle or half backs of that style I think You’d create a lot of headaches for the opposition as you’d have two playmakers to try and shut down.
