5 actually seems to be kinda low for the most on any All-Ireland winning team ever? Youâd think even if you had a set of brothers with a famous father, youâd get up along those numbers. You had Houla on the panel aswell with an All-Ireland medal in his pocket. Up to 7 next year with Aido in there aswell.
Did Barry Hennessyâs father ever get on a Limerick panel @balbec?
A few of the other parents would have been heavily involved around things up along too, I wonder is that because their children were good or those that kind of drive help their kids succeed? Like, Hannonâs father has been involved in the backroom in all 4 All-Ireland wins; Jimmyâs father obviously coached in the first win, the Boylansâ father involved as a doctor previously and played at a decent level for Midleton, the Gillanesâ father was involved in the academy and one of the best coaches around, Kyleâs father involved in the academy for a long team, the Morrisseysâ father was a county board head⌠Lynch obviously has the Carey blood.
I suppose you are more likely to get involved if your kid is talented.
It is indeed, the stuff about Tommy Quaid is very poignant, apparently he was a lovely man, my in laws knew him well, and I was close enough to Nickie at one stage though we havenât bumped into each other in a couple of years now and I wouldnât be great at the texting etc, but you honestly couldnât meet a nicer fella, tough to lose your father at that age, but heâs a credit to his memory
